Fourth of July!

We went to Pocatello for a whirlwind trip to enjoy Independence Day and go to Jason Miles' baby blessing. It is always nice to come visit.

Yeah, Parade Time!!!
Allie was thrilled to get an otter pop at the start of the parade, but she kept taking pieces out of the wrapper and holding them in her hand. It's a good thing they gave out little handi-wipes packages too.
Both girls had a great time waving flags at all the people in the parade.
Later that evening the whole clan showed up for a BBQ in my parents' backyard. It was lots of fun! We also celebrated the girl's half birthdays with the miles' family in the middle of the festivities. Kind of cool to get fireworks after your party.

Allie is really turning into a monkey. She kept jumping on everybody's laps wanting lifted up to hang on the swing bars.

Ty and Kayla waving from the deck above.
Don't you love Allie's ear protection. Fireworks are loud. She was scared until Papa found these for her, and then she was good.
Say cheese! Grandma Garbett, Grandma, Papa, Kathy, Karey, and Chris (Karey's boyfriend)
The fireworks were just too much for poor Tyler. Even sitting in the car he was trying to cover both his eyes and ears at the same time. It was cute but so sad.
Anyway, we had lots of fun. It was great to finally be able to celebrate with family. We've kind of felt lonely not being able to come when Nate's had to work the next day. Maybe we'll be able to come next year too.
