I asked Allie to take a pile of clothes to her sister's room for me yesterday. Allie was busy writing in a notebook at the time. When she finished she showed me what she wrote.

Dance Pictures
Saturday the girls had dance pictures. I was a little disappointed to learn that they wanted specific dark makeup, but hopefully it will look good in the pictures. There is just something wrong about putting so much makeup on a 4 year old. Still they looked darling.

After a quick lunch it was Kayla's turn. 
She is such a beautiful graceful ballerina.

I'm so glad the girls are loving dance. They can't wait for their recital on the 20th. They are so excited all 4 grandparents are coming.

On October 29, Makayla's teacher nominated her for a Sunshine Award at her school. We then received a call home from the principal telling us about all the good things she's doing at school, and a few days ago we got a certificate in the mail. This is what Kayla's teacher wrote.
"Makayla is every teacher's dream student. She completes her work in a timely manner. She reads quietly when she is finished with her work. Makayla is very reliable. You can ask her to complete any task. Makayla is patient with her peers. She's happy to explain the directions and rules of an activity or game to a peer(s). Makayla is the person to call on when someone needs a friend. I love having Makayla in my class. Her parents are lucky!"
Wow! We really are!!! Makayla is truly a sweet and thoughtful little girl. She tries hard not to hurt feelings. She has her moments, but she really tries to be friends with all those around her, including Mom, Dad, and sister. We love our Kayla-babe.

Good News
Sunday evening after Allie found me worshipping the porcelain throne yet again, we decided it was time to share our news. We're expecting another baby!!!
We were hoping to keep it a secret until we were past the danger point, but I've been too sick to make that possible. Although it is comforting knowing that as long as I'm sick, I'm still preggers. So we're happy to announce that around July 6th we will be adding to our family. YAY!!!

Halloween turned out a little different than we were planning, but it was still lots of fun. The girls were hurrying and eating a little dinner when suddenly we had a downpour outside. Thankfully it let up before too horribly long. Since everything was wet, and it was still sprinkling, Allie decided to be Minnie so her Glenda dress wouldn't drag and turn into mud.
Trick or Treat
After returning home for gloves, potty breaks, and to warm up a bit, the girls went back out to just a few more houses.
Kayla immediately divided all her candy into piles and gave away all the gluten stuff.
Allie was happy to just show off her big pile of candy.
We had quite a few trick or treaters, but by the time the girls got home, there was still quite a bit of candy in our bowl. I told them I didn't want it so give it away. They really listened. Most of the kids that came to our house got two or three pieces of candy. At the end the girls gave away as much as they could hold in their hands. I got my wish. LOL! We only had a tiny bit left in the bowl after the last kids left.

This year I was crazy enough to sign up as a Room Mother. Thankfully I have a co-head room mother. We decided I'd be over the Halloween Party while she's going to head the Christmas Party, and then we'll figure out Valentine's together. We collected donations from the parents and thankfully ended up with over $50 per party. Since I didn't spend as much as allowed we've got over $60 for each of the remaining parties.
The class was divided into four groups. They made playdough creations with two small containers of playdough each.
They all had a lot of fun with this project.
The kids got to play bingo. They used smarties for markers and won bubbles and pixie stiks for prizes.
They got to bowl with pumpkins.

They also did a Mr. Bones Relay Race. The group was divided into two groups. Then they raced to see which team could build their skeleton first. I bought activity books for when they finished the relay, but the mom over this activity did a great job letting them play a couple of times and then gave them a fun Halloween safety lesson. They got to just take home their books to do later.
