Dr. Seuss Week

This year in celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday (which just so happens to be on the same day as mine), the kindergartners got to dress up every day. Allie had a blast with silly sock day, dress like the cat in the hat, wacky Wednesday, wearing apple colors, and wearing her favorite color. It made getting ready each day more fun. Unfortunately for some reason the 3rd grade decided to only participate on Wednesday. It was sad for Kayla, and I really hope next year she will get to do more.
The best part of Dr. Seuss week was the literacy night on Wednesday. They were told to come with their best who hair. We used empty water bottles on their heads and lots of bows. It went surprisingly fast, and they had a blast showing off their Cindi Lou Do's.

8 Months Old

This month Caitlyn has figured out how to sit. She is so happy to be upright looking at the world. Although she isn't content to just sit there. No, she's trying to crawl so she can explore all the fun things around the house.
Caitlyn's new thing is to crinkle up her nose. This really was the first day she started doing it, but it hasn't stopped yet.
Look how big she's getting on her bear.
So close to crawling.
We love our little miss. She is a such a good eater. She loves all kinds of baby foods, and she would probably love more things if I would just let her try them. As it is she's liking everything that has ever gone in her mouth-except that horrible meat baby food. Caitlyn has been thinking she's too grown up for a bottle lately, which has resulted in her being very hungry at bedtime. So she'll eat a couple bottles within a much shorter time than normal to make up for going without much most of the day. Silly girl. We just love her cooing and talking. She's always got a smile to light up her face. We're so glad to have our little Caitlyn in our family.
