May 28 11 Months Old

It is hard to believe how fast 11 months goes.  Caitlyn loves her sisters, loves playing with her Daddy, and loves cuddling with her Mommy.  We all love watching her play.  Her favorite toys are her sisters' baby dolls.  She also LOVES playing with the coasters.  No matter where we hide them, she always manages to find them (I'm sure her big sisters would never help her out.).  So far Caitlyn does pretty good at church.  Of course she has her moments of loudness, but usually we can stay in class and sacrament meeting, most of the time.  She is such a fun baby, and we love having Caitlyn in our family!!!

May 28 Memorial Day

We aren't usually in Pocatello over Memorial Day, but when we are we have to go visit the cemetery.  The girls were sweet and asked lots of questions about all the family we were visiting.  It was a good trip.

June 26 Giving Rides

Kayla loves grabbing out the laundry basket and filling it full of blankets, toys, and her sister.  Caitlyn loves going for rides, so it works perfectly!!!

June16 Caitlyn's 1st Birthday Party

It is possible I might have gotten a little carried away planning Caitlyn's party, but I had a lot of fun doing it.  I'm sure someday she'll love looking back at the pictures.  The big girls helped with different parts, and I think it all came together quite nicely, if I do say so myself.

The refreshment table.
The gluten cupcakes with chocolate flowers and the dipped marshmallows.
The gluten free cake.  My first try at gum paste.  It was pretty fun.
Caitlyn loves birds.  I got peeps after Easter and used them for the centerpieces.  (FYI the expiration date was October 2014.  So if you're a fan you can buy all you want at Easter and not worry about having them go bad.)
There was also pink lemonade and water to drink.  Right before serving I brought out ice cream that was prescooped into muffin liners for easy serving.
 The Thank You table.
 Caitlyn's smash cake.
Every family was encouraged to take home a thank you birdhouse filled with a peep and M&Ms.  Thank you pintrest for the pattern.
 Happy Birthday banner

12 months of Caitlyn.  These banners are pulling double duty.  They are decoration for her room as well.
The hot air balloons and basket were used for pictures too.

Even though I knew she wouldn't be a fan, I made a hat for our birthday girl.
It wasn't that Caitlyn didn't like the cake, so much as she was uncomfortable with all the people staring at her.
Happy Birthday to our darling 1 year old.  We are so grateful to have you in our lives!  Love you!!!

May 27 Tinkerbell Party

After changing their minds about a bazillion times, the girls finally settled on a Tinkerbell/Fairy themed party for their 1/2 birthday.  Normally I would just do cake and ice cream and call it good.  But I knew and they knew I was planning a big party for Caitlyn's 1st so I figured I ought to do a little more.  Of course I love planning and getting everything together for a party.  And when they get excited over the little extras like labels on the food (and even say they are soooo spoiled), it makes it all worth the effort.  Cory and Angie weren't quite sure they wanted the boys dressed as fairies, but we told them there are lots of boy fairies.  Plus the boys wanted to wear the wings.  They got lots of fun presents and we all had a good time visiting.

May 26 Time with the Hulse Family

Over Memorial Day weekend, we headed to Pocatello to spend all day Saturday playing with all of Nate's family.  The kids had a great time playing with cousins.  We ate some yummy food, took pictures, ate more food, ran through the rain, played basketball, celebrated Ciara's 1st birthday, and left when Kayla got sick.  Other than that last thing we had tons of fun.  Nate and I tried to get pictures of everything, but we didn't get any pictures of our family on our camera (Jessica has them all) or Nicholas and Cydnee.
