7 Months

At 7 months old Caitlyn is growing cuter everyday. She is constantly giving us these giant smiles that light up her whole face. She loves her voice and shares it with us often. She is an excellent sitter, and is most happy sitting and playing with her toys. At her doctor's appointment on January 24th, exactly 7 months, she weighed 16.6 (49%) and is 27 inches long (53%). Caitlyn loves playing with toys and will gladly roll from back to front, but she still doesn't like to roll from front to back. Silly girl. She also likes to say Mamamamama all the time. Sometimes she also says Dadadadadada.

Bedtime

Caitlyn did such a good job of getting Daddy to sleep that I had to take a picture. I love you honey!!!

Swimming with Grandpa Bert

Grandpa Bert had a conference in SLC the week after they came down. So he got a hotel a night early so the kids could come play in the pool. We waited for Daddy to get off work and met him at the hotel. Kayla and Allie insisted Caitlyn needed to go swimming. I knew it wouldn't last, but at least we tried. The water was nice and warm, but Caitlyn wasn't happy.
Her sisters had a great time though.

After about 5 minutes, I took Caitlyn back to the room and got her dressed. It worked out well since it gave Grandma some cuddle time before she headed home.

Head Bandz

Grandma Darla and Grandpa Bert brought the rest of Travis' stuff to him and spent the night at our house. Travis and Rachel came out for dinner and games. We opened up a new game and had fun trying to figure out which Disney character we were. It is a lot harder than one might think.

Then Sunday after church we had dinner and games at Travis and Rachel's house. It is nice having family to play with close by.

Happy New Years 2012

Mom and Dad came to celebrate New Years with us. Of course we had to have fondue and games. Since we had the whole day to play, we decided to have our fondue more as a late lunch and then we actually we hungry for dessert fondue. Last year the adults weren't wanting the dessert and the girls were quite sad. It worked out great and we had a blast eating, playing tons of games, and even lighting some fireworks while watching the neighbors huge display of aerials.

It is Stuck!

Allie had a loose tooth for most of the school year. It was soooo loose before Christmas, we kept expecting it to fall out in her food or in her sleep. Daddy tried pulling it several times, but it was STUCK. After the tooth started turning brown, but it still wouldn't come out. Daddy tried on Christmas, but our stubborn little girl wanted to do it herself so he got bit for his efforts.
Finally at about 11:30 on December 26th Allie succeeded it out herself.

6 months Old

Christmas Eve Caitlyn turned 6 months old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. At 6 months Caitlyn is eating baby food. She likes most food except squash and peaches. Her favorites are rice cereal and peas. Caitlyn sleeps all night most of the time. She is awake for 1-2 hours and then goes back to sleep for anywhere from 1-4 hours. Caitlyn wakes up cooing and generally goes to sleep doing the same. She is a very happy baby except when she doesn't feel good. Which unfortunately this month has been quite a bit. She is definitely a Mama's girl, but she loves her Daddy too. And no matter what, her sisters can get a big grin out of her. Caitlyn will just giggle and giggle when she watches Allie do the hokey pokey. We love our darling little girl.

She has been somewhat resistant to rolling. While she can roll from tummy to back, she dislikes it. This superman position is generally how she hangs out on her tummy. I guess she's working on her muscles.

Caitlyn loves to play with/eat her toes.

We've been watching carefully as she gets closer to rolling from back to front, and while we were taking these pictures she did it! We even got it on video. She's on the move. Watch out world!!!

Boys (and Amy) and their Toys

On the 26th, Nate, Amy, Tyler, and Dad went to the shooting range. I'm not sure how many guns they had, but I know there was a machine gun, a muzzle loader, a 9mm, and others. Nate took a camera and this is the one shot he brought home.

Thankfully I have a sister who is a wonderful photographer. I stole the rest of these from her blog. There are some pretty awesome shots here.
