Happy Baby Girl

This morning Kayla was cuddling with Caitlyn and tickling her belly. Caitlyn was kind of in that state of half awake/half asleep. She was full of smiles. Is there anything better than a new baby's smiles? Yep. When that new baby's smiles make her older sisters smile from ear to ear with pride and joy.

Pioneer Day Fireworks

We got to light off some fireworks on the 24th.
Allie playing with snap pops.
Kayla too.

Kayla and Allie playing with sparklers.

Caitlyn wide awake and perfectly content.

Kaybree and Kayla watching the fountain.

Allie happy to be watching fireworks.

After our fireworks we watched the neighbors big aerial fireworks. They used bricks to support the blocks so they wouldn't tip over. After hearing about the aerial fireworks that shot into the crowd at our neighborhood party the night before, we were relieved to see their good idea.

Kaybree

Kayla and Kaybree moved their chairs closer to Mike and Gay's for the show. Allie would slowly head that way, but she would scream and come running whenever they lit any aerials. I think seeing her friend's burn traumatized her a bit.

1 Month Old

Caitlyn turned 1 month old on Sunday. It is crazy how fast this month has gone. Caitlyn has occasionally slept 51/2 hours at a time, but usually more like 4 hours at a time. She is a sweet baby who is easy to calm. However she does love to be held. I kind of forgot how demanding a little one can be. Very time consuming, but totally worth it. We love having her in our home, and we especially love cuddling with our newest family member.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Nathan and I were looking for things to do in Bear Lake when we found that the local play was Joseph. The girls LOVE LOVE LOVE the music and Donny Osmond video. We decided we would take them.
Bert, Darla, Morgan, and Jordyn came with us. All the girls loved the play, and Allie couldn't wait to get her picture with the main characters. During half time Kayla was looking at the program and she sees a picture of Joseph. She says to Morgan, "He's really strong." What!?! Isn't she too young to be noticing things like guys muscles? HELP!!!

The narrator and the girls

After the show we went to La Beaus for raspberry (and other flavors for the silly kids) milkshakes before heading home. YUM!!!

Saturday

Saturday morning we picked up camp. Terra had everybody give somebody else an award. It was kind of fun to hear the awards, but I think the kids enjoyed the candy she got to go with the awards even more.

Allie saying hi to Travis and Ciara.

The plan was to hike to Bloomington Lake, but unfortunately Bert blew a tire on the trailer. A few got to hike, but we headed down to Paris for a picnic while Bert went in search of a tire shop. After lunch most everybody climbed into this wagon for a nice Pioneer Day ride.

Normally $1 a ride, the driver let all that could fit go for $10.

Then he took them on an even longer ride than normal.

Some happy riders.

Thanks Daisy May.

Friday Evening

After the lake, we headed over to the camp to hang out and get some dinner. Kayla and Caitlyn spent some time relaxing in the shade.
Our happy redhead.

Allie then took the camera and had fun getting a bunch of photos. Caitlyn

Bear Lake-Friday

Friday we packed a picnic and headed to the water. All of the cousins had such a good time playing together. All the guys played ball and frisbee in the water for hours.

In the afternoon the wind came up and the waves grew. It was so much fun for the people in the water they didn't notice when the wind picked up the shade canopies. Unfortunately most the people sitting in the shade had a baby in their arms. It made for a crazy time until we got some help from the swimmers.

The kids had such a blast they are begging to go back again. I guess that means the trip was a success.
