Gracie isn't quite as comfortable around bouncy Allie, but they still became good friends.
Normally when Grandparents leave our house the girls have a hard time. This time they just happily waved good-bye to all 4 grandparents, but Kayla cried buckets of tears over Gracie leaving. Silly girl.

We're really proud of how well the girls did. They weren't nervous at all about preforming, and they did a fabulous job.

And then according to tradition, the girls got to sleep by the tree the first night it is put up. We put on Polar Express, popped some popcorn, and relaxed.

I'm so glad the girls are loving dance. They can't wait for their recital on the 20th. They are so excited all 4 grandparents are coming.
We were hoping to keep it a secret until we were past the danger point, but I've been too sick to make that possible. Although it is comforting knowing that as long as I'm sick, I'm still preggers. So we're happy to announce that around July 6th we will be adding to our family. YAY!!!
Trick or Treat
After returning home for gloves, potty breaks, and to warm up a bit, the girls went back out to just a few more houses.
Kayla immediately divided all her candy into piles and gave away all the gluten stuff.
Allie was happy to just show off her big pile of candy.
We had quite a few trick or treaters, but by the time the girls got home, there was still quite a bit of candy in our bowl. I told them I didn't want it so give it away. They really listened. Most of the kids that came to our house got two or three pieces of candy. At the end the girls gave away as much as they could hold in their hands. I got my wish. LOL! We only had a tiny bit left in the bowl after the last kids left. 
They all had a lot of fun with this project.
The kids got to play bingo. They used smarties for markers and won bubbles and pixie stiks for prizes.

Pumpkin bowling for a definite favorite. 
They also did a Mr. Bones Relay Race. The group was divided into two groups. Then they raced to see which team could build their skeleton first. I bought activity books for when they finished the relay, but the mom over this activity did a great job letting them play a couple of times and then gave them a fun Halloween safety lesson. They got to just take home their books to do later. 
After all the activities were done, the kids got a donut and apple cider. While they were eating prizes were handed out for their playdough creations. Everybody got one. The certificates were things like the scariest, funniest, cutest, biggest, etc. Each kid got two glow sticks and a silly band as well. Here are Kayla's ghost and bat.

I felt like the kids were already getting tons of stuff, and then a couple of parents decided to send bags of candy with their kids to hand out. The bags I brought for loot were over flowing by the end of the party. It was tons of fun, but I think it will be nice just showing up to help with the Christmas party.
I took mostly video while one of my friends took still pictures. I did manage to snag a few snapshots though.
Most of the kids were shy and wouldn't sing or do the actions, but Allie did a great job. She sang every song and did all the actions.

I used felt for the face and pipe cleaner for hair.
Daddy helped Allie with her big pumpkin. They used the Mrs. Potato Head angel set.
Kayla drew on both of her pumpkins. Then she added a mini felt face on the the little pumpkin and some pipe cleaner on both.
