Any Suggestions?

She's not really understanding how much trouble she's in.

Kayla's been being such a big girl with scissors, I let her work on a secret present in her bedroom during Allie's nap. Right when Allie woke up, I got distracted. I got the scissors a few minutes later. At dinner I noticed something wrong with Kayla's bangs, and suddenly Allie has bangs. Would someone please call IXII. I'm gonna scream.

I'm gonna scream or maybe just cry

Just when Allie's hair could all be pulled into a ponytail her sister came along. Allie has now joined the world of bangs. At least she doesn't mind...

The Footings Are In!

We took a drive to see how things are progressing on our little plot of land, and the footings are poured. It's kinda cool to know this is going to turn into our home. Now, hopefully the weather will cooperate next week so they can keep going.

This is the corner where one of the bedrooms will be.

It's pretty amazing that they all managed to close their eyes for the picture. Boy am I good.

This of course is the side of the garage and kitchen behind.

Trick or Treating

We took the girls trick or treating downtown since they could do that while it was still light outside. It was pretty crazy. Kayla was a little overwhelmed when she'd get in a store with a kazillion other kids. Most the stores though had someone standing outside since the weather was so beautiful. Allison just kept giggling and looking at her bucket in awe. "Tweat," She'd almsot whisper over and over again.
Later Nate took the girls around the block. Makayla quickly got bored. She wanted to come home. Nate asked if she wanted to trick or treat on the way home. No. Then when she realized she could get more candy, she decided to sing the ABC's. Everytime she finished she'd go to one more house. Needless to say, they missed lots of houses (and that was even only going on one side of the street around one block). When they got back, Makayla took over handing out candy. She had more fun giving it away then she did getting it. After giving the kids as much candy as she could get away with, she'd tell them to have a good night, and Allie would yell and wave bye-bye. It was pretty darn cute. But don't worry, they got oodles of candy. Together they even got 3 full size candy bars. Apparently people in this neighborhood like the good stuff.

Happy Halloween!!!

The girls had so much fun dressing up this year. Allison loved being a princess so much I wasn't sure she was going to be okay with the Tigger costume for trick or treating, but she loved it too. Makayla had fun wearing her costume all day starting with a Halloween party at school. They were so cute. I'm amazed at how many people asked if I made Kayla's costume. If only... I did buy it all by myself; that should count for something.
