Our Visit to the Dentist

Yesterday I took the girls to the dentist. Makayla, of course, has been before, but Allie hasn't. Kayla was so good. She didn't even complain when they put sour strawberry bubbles all over her teeth. Allison just watched a little unsure. Then it was Allie's turn. Now take in mind the dental hygienist was a nursery leader from our old ward when we were in our rental. Allie had been her friend in that setting. Allie laid down on her back no problem and smelled the toothpaste. The hygienist showed her how the brush feels on her arm, and then she carefully polished Allie's two front teeth. AHHHHHHH!!! Screaming ensued that brought other hygienists running. Apparently the toothbrush was loud. The dentist then came and looked in Kayla's mouth-No Cavities!!! She turned to Allie who opened her mouth-as soon as the dentist put her mirror and poker thing inside-SCREAMING. The dentist jumped back and in her own defense cried, "I'm sure I didn't poke her! I didn't mean to." We assured her Allie was just having a hard time. This time the dentist braved just using fingers and the mirror to look while Allie continued to scream. Everything looked great! She's getting in some molars which might explain why her appetite has decreased a little.
The funny thing is Kayla hates getting her teeth brushed, and Allison never wants to stop brushing. Go figure.
