After our ward party, we thought it would be nice to just have a fun family day. We took the girls to
Michaels for a free craft. They had a blast using model magic to make flowers. Then we went to the Easter Egg hunt at This is the Place. (Since neither girl ever eats the
junky candy you usually find at these kind of things, we weren't worried about sugar overload-only that they have fun.) Wow! That was a mistake!
There were 12,000 eggs hidden, and at least 12,000 people in attendance. We will not be going there again.
Two little girls being silly.

The huge crowd in line behind us.

What you can see of the huge crowd in line in front of us.

Nate took Kayla on her hunt. It was a much better place than Allie's. Kayla found 1 egg. Allie didn't get any. In fact most of the 4-5 year
olds didn't. There were at least twice as many kids as eggs in that group.

Later they had a candy canon. Allie wanted to go, but as you can tell by the amount of people, it was just insane. Nate didn't let her try to get any candy for fear of being trampled.

Silly Daddy!

Waiting for face painting.

Aren't they cute?

The girls really wanted to go get some free popcorn and cotton candy and then go see the Easter Bunny. It was freezing and the line for the food would have taken at least 45 minutes. The Easter Bunny line probably 1 1/2. We finally convinced the kids that we would buy popcorn at Target and go see the Easter Bunny at the mall in
Pocatello when we came to visit (except later we found out he wasn't there).
On our way out they got to see a real bunny.

Kayla especially loved petting it.

There were people handing out candy as we left since so many kids got nothing. It was
definitely an experience... I think we'll stick to the family hunts next year.
