Easter Morning 2010
Before bed Saturday the girls were warned they couldn't wake anybody up before 7:30am. At 7:30 exactly Kayla came in to get us out of bed. After getting the cameras ready they hurried up the stairs. The hunt was on-this time looking for Easter baskets, the real eggs, and...
what's this? A Cheeto's carrot-one for each person. Yum!
Kayla quickly found her basket of goodies.
Allie found hers, along with an egg.
Kayla brought Daddy ours, and boy was he happy.
Every egg needed to be found, so that was next of their list.
Even the really high ones.
Then they went through their baskets. Kayla got some headbands and sparkles for her nails.
Blow baby Blow
I think those headbands are supposed to be worn one at a time. Silly girl.
"Can I eat my chocolate bunny?" The Easter Bunny and I had a chat about what was allowed this year. He was informed only a very small amount of candy. He did pretty good at listening. Thank heavens since the girls brought home enough candy to last til Halloween if I stick it in the freezer. Funny story-when Kayla looked at all their candy after the hunts on Saturday, she turned to me, "Mom don't we still have Halloween candy in the freezer?" "Yes." "Cool! I'll bet none of the other kids in my class have any left. Thanks Mom!"
I'm not sure what she's holding, but I think she likes it!
Allie really gets into her chocolate!
For Christmas Mom gave the grandkids each a little slinkie. They LOVE them, but unfortunately they were too small to do stairs. I guess the Easter bunny figured that Daddy could show what a big slinkie can do.
Papa got to be the official bunny holder while the girls explored their baskets. Isn't it nice to be needed?
Happy Easter everybody! I hope you had as much fun as we did. It was especially nice to get to listen to Conference at Easter. I loved the messages. They are always wonderful, but it seemed some were extra special because of the day. I'm so excited they are online so I can watch and read whenever I need a lift.
