Vicki and Vegas

Nate's aunt Vicki now lives in Las Vegas so Friday night we were able to go to dinner with her and her friend, Shelley. They found a restaurant with a gluten free menu. Right outside the restaurant was this totally awesome playground for the kids to use up some of their pent up energy. I really wish there was something like this near by.

Kayla explored the maze, enjoying the cool elephant playing a trumpet.
Allie took a magical ride on a unicorn.
Both girls loved going down and up the fireman poles.
Kayla and Vicki stopped for a little tea party inside one of the buildings.
The giant tree house had a climbing wall, lots of different slides, a chalk area, a wheel for steering the pirate boat, a bridge and much more.
Kayla was the director for the theatre.
"Romeo. Oh Romeo. Where fore art thou Romeo?"
Even us ladies took a turn on the giant caterpillar. Me, Shelley, Vicki, Allie, and Kayla
The entire play area's ground was kinda of a squishy foam thing that wouldn't really hurt if you were to fall on it. Even the bathrooms were cool. The stalls had a normal size potty and a child size one. Allie LOVED having one just her size. They definitely need to build a play area like this a little closer to home. The kids could have spent hours there. They were so happy to see Vicki that they pulled her from activity to activity. It was cute!
We all really loved getting to see Vicki. It was so nice to be able to visit for few hours! Unfortunately, it was late, and we had to get checked in at our hotel. Our hotel was much more casino than I'd been lead to believe. Next time, we will NOT be staying in a casino. They are gross and disgusting, and I absolutely hate bringing my kids into that environment. I'll have to get some advice from Vicki on clean, safe areas of Vegas to spend the night.
While talking with Vicki she realized Cathy, another aunt, was going to California sometime soon to visit a friend. She called her, and it turned out we were going to be at Disneyland on the same day. So we were able to spend Thursday with Cathy in Disneyland. What are the odds? I'll have more on that if I'm ever able to get my computer, pictures, and Internet to work at the same time for more than a minute or two. Please be patient with me. More posts are coming. I hope...

So glad you got to play with Vicki, I'm sure she was as excited as the kids.
