Last Wednesday we went to the Literacy night at Kayla's school. While there the girls got to decorate ornaments for the school's tree, write letters to Santa, read books, sing songs, read poems, and most importantly-visit with Santa.
Kayla and Allie working hard on their ornaments.

We wrote letters to Santa, and then they announced Santa had arrived. Quickly we hurried to get in line since last year the wait was almost an hour. However, this year there were hardly any people. Maybe the mess of last year scared them away.
Kayla asked Santa for some clothes for her doll, Mandy.

Allie, patiently waiting her turn.

Allie told Santa she wants a Baby for Christmas with pajamas and church clothes and a toothbrush for the baby.

Santa's elves send each child home with a book even if they aren't in school yet.

While our friends were taking their turns. Kayla sat down to start reading her book. The girl sure LOVES to read.

After seeing Santa, we went back into the gym for some more activities. Here the girls are working on stars that say what gifts they want for the whole world. We had to leave them there, and all I can remember is that Kayla wants everybody to be nice to each other.
