Framing Walk Thru

Here's the outside of the house. As you can see the roof is done except the trim which they wait until the stucco is finished to complete. They were starting to put up tar paper and chicken wire for the stucco while we were doing out walk-thru. (Allie would try and play but have to keep running back in tears if the banging got too close.

I took this picture to give you an idea of how tall the garage is. We have an 8 foot door and then there's this much room at the top still. The raised foundation makes it so we'll have lots of room to build storage shelves above the garage door.

Wiring is done!

Lighting supports are up throughout-these are the can lights in the kitchen.

The fireplace was supposed to have a flat wall over it, but the contractor did this more expensive alcove instead. We had the choice to close it in, but I think it will be really nice to display things. Plus there is power for say a Christmas wreath or any other kind of decoration that needs electricity.

Finally this is the doorway to the master bath. Apparently the framer made this for a door. The superintendent missed that we paid for a door here and had the framer change it to this arch. Now they have to change it back. I know we're funny, but we want a door to our bathroom.
