Nate standing in the part of the basement destined to become a family room.
The gorgeous laundry room complete with cupboard and counter space
The master bath, complete with dare I say it, yes, 2 vanities separated by a door neatly hiding the king's throne.
As you enter the house first you pass a formal front room, and then the house opens up into this huge great room complete with gas fireplace. Oooh I can't wait to cuddle in front of the fire on those freezing Utah nights. (I think I may have a few months to wait for that one)
This is my gorgeous kitchen. Can you count all the cupboards? No you cannot, some are hidden to the right of the photo. It is more than twice as big as my tiny kitchen now. And guess what you can open the cupboards and get into them without counters and dishwashers in the way.
Here is my Allison discovering the big bath. We've already learned Allie can turn the water on all by herself, and Makayla thinks this is a good place to wash your hands. We may need to put a child latch on the door...
Now you may say, what a wonderful walk-in closet for the master bedroom, and I would totally agree that it is a fantastic closet. However this closet belongs to one of the girls. The other bedroom has a matching one, and the master bedroom's closet is even bigger and better.
Finally the backyard. No trees unfortuantely, but that can be fixed. It is fenced on all but one side and along the front. It will be so nice to have a regular rectangular yard with grass all over.
We made the offer Thursday and decided we'd better put our house on the market. Around 6 pm Friday our house made it onto the MLS. About 8pm we got a call that they wanted to show our house Saturday at 10am. Everybody (Mom had spent the week at our house, Dad and Amy had come for the weekend) rushed around trying to make the house ready to show.
Apparently we did a good job because we got an offer for full asking price a few hours later. The only thing the buyer requested was time to sell her own house. The buyer is actually the principal of Overlake Elementry School. In fact she's in our ward and a really nice lady.
This is all going just a little too fast. Nate and I just feel totally good about the decision even though there is some question about the parking situation for his work truck. After a lot of prayer this just seems right, but we're going to stay on our knees praying this is really what we need to do. I'm giddy with excitment and sad that I'll have to move out of my house that I love in so many ways.
