May 23 Pretty Hair

Allie had a tea party to go to, and I knew we were going to be cutting her hair soon.  I had seen this hair style on pintrest and decided to play.  She loved her pretty hair, and I love doing it.  She felt so beautiful, especially after getting dolled up at the party.

May 20 Caitlyn

Caitlyn looked so pretty and grown up, I had to take some pictures.  She thought she was pretty funny and knew she was oh so cute!

May 19 Dance Recital

Makayla and Allison did a great job at their dance recital.  Kayla was a go go girl and Allie danced at a picnic with her teddy bear.  Seeing their smiles up on stage and as they get ready to perform makes all the running them to and from practice worth it.

May 18 Kindergarten Graduation

Allie has done so well in school.  She reads better than a lot of 1st graders and she's friends with everybody.  Graduating was bitter sweet for her.  She's counting down the day until first grade so she can go visit Mrs. Engler again.

We made these You're one smart cookie baggies for the Kayla and Allie to give to their classes.  It was a fun thing for them to do, and it made the other kids happy too.

Kayla really wanted to attend Allie's graduation; so we let her miss an hour of class.  It turned out great since she really helped entertain the baby before it started.

Marching into position.
Allie of course knew every word to every song.

Allie was asked to do a speaking part.  She has no fear and did great.  "E is for exercise to keep my body strong."

Allie and Mrs. Engler (It is probably important to pay attention to your clothing choices when you are going to be bending down for lots of photos)

Our graduate and her sisters.

May 16 Recorder Concert

This year Kayla has been learning to play the recorder at school.  She absolutely loves it.  So much so that the Easter Bunny got her a cheap plastic one to practice with at home until the end of the year when she could bring hers home.  Kayla was so happy to get to perform for us, and we were thrilled to see how excited she was.  Kayla normally doesn't sing (like for the primary program) hardly at all, but she was totally into singing, doing hand motions, and of course playing the recorder.  It was so great to see!

May 16 Another One Bites the Dust

We were waiting for Kayla's recorder concert to start and saw how incredibly loose Allie's tooth was.  I told her to keep wiggling it so the tooth fairy could come visit.  Within a minute, she was bleeding all over and she'd pulled the tooth out.

May 15 Hogle Zoo

Caitlyn and I thought it would be fun to drive to the zoo and join Allie on her Kindergarten field trip.  It ended up being 95 degrees-which of course gave me a migraine later, but it was fun hanging out with Allie and friends.

The tigers were waiting for us as soon as we entered the zoo.
Allie loved her visor her teacher made just for her.
Sophia Johnson, Thomas Jepsen, Xavier Johnson, Allie, and Charly Jepsen.  We brought Anna Marie and Sophia Johnson in the van with us and met us with Erin and Charly Jepsen.  It made the zoo a little more fun to be with friends.
Caitlyn wasn't too sure about the giant gorilla.

Allie jumped right on top-she's done this before, and the other kids hurried to get in the picture.
I figured I'd better get one picture showing I was there.
We took the kids to the playground at the end.  They had fun, but it was HOT!!!  You'd think they could put a canopy or something to help block out the sun.

May 12 Dinosaur Park

For Christmas I bought two passes to Dinosaur Park-one for my family and one for Cory and Angie's.  Turns out they had a season pass, so they let Mom, Dad, and Amy use the pass I gave them instead.  We needed to use them before it got to hot, so we met everybody as soon as the girls finished dance pictures (hence the makeup).  It was a fun, relaxing time.  The weather was perfect, and it was nice to visit with everybody.  The girls spent a lot of time filling out questions about the different dinosaurs.  It definitely made visiting the park more fun for Kayla.  We love visiting-every year or two.
