It is possible I might have gotten a little carried away planning Caitlyn's party, but I had a lot of fun doing it. I'm sure someday she'll love looking back at the pictures. The big girls helped with different parts, and I think it all came together quite nicely, if I do say so myself.
The refreshment table.
The gluten cupcakes with chocolate flowers and the dipped marshmallows. The gluten free cake. My first try at gum paste. It was pretty fun.
Caitlyn loves birds. I got peeps after Easter and used them for the centerpieces. (FYI the expiration date was October 2014. So if you're a fan you can buy all you want at Easter and not worry about having them go bad.)
There was also pink lemonade and water to drink. Right before serving I brought out ice cream that was prescooped into muffin liners for easy serving. The Thank You table.
Caitlyn's smash cake.
Every family was encouraged to take home a thank you birdhouse filled with a peep and M&Ms. Thank you pintrest for the pattern.
Happy Birthday banner
12 months of Caitlyn. These banners are pulling double duty. They are decoration for her room as well.
The hot air balloons and basket were used for pictures too.
Even though I knew she wouldn't be a fan, I made a hat for our birthday girl.
It wasn't that Caitlyn didn't like the cake, so much as she was uncomfortable with all the people staring at her.
Happy Birthday to our darling 1 year old. We are so grateful to have you in our lives! Love you!!!
