A Night at the Movies

Friday was the Makayla and Allison's dance recital. They were so excited to get to show off all their hard work, and of course to get to have family come visit. My mom had been with us all week. Then minutes before show time Grandma Darla arrived with Morgan and Jordyn. Then after missing each of the girls first numbers, Terra, Josh, and baby Ciera arrived.

We had a plan that after the girls did their first dances #3 and #5 on the program, they would go together and get changed into their costumes for their second dances. That way I could sit, relax, and enjoy the show. Allie however saw that her cousins had arrived and instead changed into her street clothes and came into the auditorium. I had to race her out and get her changed for her second number. Her class was lining up as I finished tying her headband around her hair. Then I raced back to my seat just in time to watch her dance. Kayla thankfully changed and got ready all by herself.

It was a great recital. Both of the girls knew their dances as well as anyone in their classes. They did wonderful. As the studio gets more experience, everything ran soooo much better than last performance. It was very fun to watch, and the girls did great! They are really looking forward to continuing their dance training.
