Mother's Day Meal at the Maddox

For several years we've had the tradition of meeting my family at the Maddox on the Saturday before Mother's Day. This year since we had yard equipment at our house, I thought the girls and I would be going alone. Thankfully, Nate decided to come with us (puppy dog eyes work wonders :) It was a nice meal, and fun to get to see B&K and David and Ashley. We don't see them much at all.

Kayla wanted to give me her Mother's Day present she made at school while there so everybody could see. I got a cute book about all the hats I wear and this great mold of her hand.

Byron even took the girls to visit the goats for a minute.

After the Maddox we hurried back home so Nate and I could finish anything else that needed done in the backyard before Sunday. In the end Nate decided he just wants to do the rest of the leveling by hand since the machines were just packing down the dirt soooo much.
