Easter 4/8/12

The night before Easter, we had a great spiritual lesson. We read scriptures and made resurrection cookies. It was a great time that really helped set the tone for the morning. We made the girls wait until a semi decent time before they could wake us and Caitlyn up. Caitlyn crawled straight to her basket and dove right in.  A baby cheetoish carrot.
Kayla found her basket.
Allie's basket was buried by toys in the swing.
I think she likes the look of it.
Cool
After a brief peek in the basket.  We untaped the tomb (oven) and got out the cookies.  They were hollow inside representing the empty tomb.  It was a great way to bring the true reason for the holiday back into focus.
Then of course we had an egg hunt.
It was very fun!
Even Caitlyn got in on the action.
I hope you all had a Happy Easter too!

I love the idea of an Easter lesson the night before. Please post the recipe for the resurrection cookies - awesome idea!
