When the first candy was popped in some one's mouth a problem was discovered. I had used a really strong glue which is strong smelling. Do you see where I'm going with this? The candy was disgusting. We had to throw it away which did not make the girls very happy. Oh well, it is the thought that counts. Right? Right?

Mesquite to Anaheim
Caitlyn was an angel on the drive. She loved having Grandma and Papa or Mommy sitting right by her. What an excellent traveler.
For the drive I made the girls a cup full of slips of paper with ideas for keeping them entertained on the drive. It included things like coloring, reading, playing travel BINGO, etc, and getting a surprise from Mom. Grandma and I made these cute little cans for the trip. I bought fruit, used my can opener on the bottom of the can, and fed Allie the yummy treats. After washing them , we filled them full of candy and little prizes. We decorated them and glued the bottoms back on so that on the drive all we had to do was pop the top and enjoy. They turned out so cute and were a great hit, until...
